ABOUT

WRITER | CREATIVE EDITOR
JUBI JIA
Jia’s Journal is an independent publication where Jubi Laskar, also known as Jubi Jia, explores the intersections of Art, Fashion, Media, Society, Culture, and Travel. Through thoughtful essays, observations, and creative commentary, she examines the ideas that shape the creative industry and everyday life.
An old soul with a free-spirited nature and a wandering heart, Jubi Jia seeks to bridge the inner and outer worlds. She writes about societal dynamics, the language of fashion and art, culturally rich destinations, thought-provoking films and series, and the stories discovered along every wandering road. Raised in the Assam valley of Eastern India, amidst tea estates and the mighty Brahmaputra River, she developed a lifelong curiosity about the world. That curiosity continues to inspire her interest in foreign cultures, ancient traditions, and untold stories.
As her tagline declares, “believing in the power of curiosity,” she explores ideas through Content Marketing, Visual Communication, Social Trend Research, and Editorial Journalism.
Jubi Jia earned her Bachelor of Design in Fashion Communication from the National Institute of Fashion Technology (NIFT), Bengaluru, India. She also holds a Master’s certificate in Fashion Marketing and Communications from Polimoda, Firenze, Italy.
After building a career with leading fashion retailers, she travelled internationally and experienced evolving cultural and societal landscapes. These experiences inspired her to explore the deeper meanings behind aesthetics and creative expression. Rather than remaining solely within the fast-paced corporate environment, she chose a more reflective and purpose-driven creative path. One that values curiosity, culture, and the broader impact of the creative industries.
Deeply passionate about Art and Fashion, Jubi Jia hopes to contribute to the creative conversation through thoughtful storytelling. Her work explores ideas across Creativity, Culture, and Lifestyle. Together, they form the foundation of Jia’s Journal.
